SNL Christmas.

Christmas! Tracy Morgan & Chris Kattan movements are so great.

The strike sucks. Last night I watching an old SNL Christmas special and I just get sad there are no late night shows celebrating and the making fun of the holidays. OMG no Letterman tree with meatball on top! Mayyyn.

Freaky but I don't like it.

Okay usually I don't get enough sleep but weekends are the days I sleep in until at least 12. Unlucky for me, I might have a ghost messing with me. On Sunday I hear a familiar melody playing over and over. My first communion snow globe was playing. Not normal yes. But is normal? That's a question for another time. Anyway, for one thing I haven't touched that in years and it it placed on a steady shelf. IMPOSSIBLE! I get up and run to my parents watching the Niners and ask if they are messing with me. They deny deny. So how else do you explain it? Ghosts? Others? I didn't want to take a picture of my snow globe fearing the shadowy images that would most likely appear. So keeping with the holiday spirit, a holiday snow globe. The song compilation is a bit Halloweeny but I can't help the music box.

The one with the bright eyes.

Yesterday, I went to Lenscrafters and finally got my eyes check. If you don't already know I am the most blind person other than my mom. So the optometrist took tests and what have you and informed me that I shouldn't be wearing my contacts for a month. Hmm I doubt that will happen. But she said since I am lazy with changing my contacts every 2 weeks, my eyelid has become somewhat inflamed. I just need my eyes to breathe. I'm fine with wearing my glasses but mine are about 6 years old and I can barely see. So I don't know how I'm suppose to read lecture notes. So I will try this no contacts thing. Anyway as Tina Fey would say "glasses can be very sexy."

Christmas Mix #1: Classics

Yes I always wanted you fine folks to get some mp3s off me so now I have finally decided to upload some for the holidays! This mix is a bunch of oldie but goody songs. I particularly recommend Jackson 5, get up and dance.

Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree (mp3)
Darlene Love - Please Come Home For Christmas (mp3)
Doris Day - Here Comes Santa Clause (mp3)
Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby (mp3)
Elvis Presley - Blue Christmas ( mp3)
Jackson Five - Santa Clause Is Comin' To Town (mp3)
Wham! - Last Christmas (mp3)

I'm missing a whole bunch from my hard drive. Hopefully every couple days I will have a new mix up. Get it while you can.

Hello December.

Hello it is a Friday night, do you know where your kids are? What. Hi. It is the last month of 2007 and I am over it but not before celebrating the holidays. Finals I can do without. I can't wait to do all things merry. It is 2 in the morning and I just thought of a blog. I promise you I didn't include everything because hey it is 2 in the morning. So check for more updates but here's a list of my preparations of holiday cheer:

- Hold the ladder when my Dad climbs into the attic. Very important job. Without it Christmas can be ruined.
- A tree preferably taller than me. It is better to go Home Depot early for nice plump Douglas Fir. Oh a trick, switch the color tags to get a cheaper priced tree. My gift to you.

- Santa Mickey Mouse (right, pic found on Ebay!). Enough said. I'm missing that bell tho.
- Holiday music on rotation: The Carpenters, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Alvin & the Chipmunks, NSYNC, Michael Buble, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, the list goes on. Especially Frost the Snowman cd. A MUST!
- Hot chocolate in big mugs wearing snowflake socks watching Home Alone 2.
- Putting our old Christmas stencil lights up in each window. I think the candy cane broke though.
- Ice skating while wearing scarfs, mittens, hats, and big oversized coats.
- Picture taking in front of the Union Square tree at night.
- Light frost over my roof and cars on the street. I still hold out hope that one day my hill will become a wicked snow mountain to where I would slide down. And have snowball fights, oh what a lovely Christmas miracle that would be.
- Christmas lights everywhere. So be apart of the holiday cheer and throw some mechanical reindeer on your property.

Enchanted

Magical! I watched Enchanted last weekend, and I must say it is definitely a must see and buy DVD. I adore movies with musical numbers, and especially this one because it is a Disney produced film and composed by the same people who brought you Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, to name a few.

What makes this movie truly enchanting (I went there) is that it uses 2D animation and real action. There hasn't been any good use of 2D classics since, Mulan? So I was happy to see a new princess, Giselle, but I doubt she will be included in any of the Princess line. She looks like a more modern Ariel. Amy Adams is brilliant and believable as a princess sent to the human world through New York City. I'm predicting her name during the award season. The chemistry between Adams and Patrick Dempsey are so believable. He just knows have to look at a female. A lot of 'ouch' moments, if you know what I mean.

I left the theater singing a lot of the songs. The soundtrack has a couple songs sung by Amy Adams and James Marsden, who by the way is always casted as the number 2 guy. I think the heart tugging moment has to belong to the ball scene. Can I cut in? Also look for little hidden Disney references. So go watch this romantic animated comedy. It is surprisingly hilarious and little disturbing watching rodents clean an apartment. The story is pretty predictable but isn't that what we want to watch? A happily ever after.

How does she know that you love her?

Thanking a Break.

Thanksgiving is TODAY and I would like to acknowledge a few things from the year.

Vacation
For the random trips to the city to shop or whether it is chillin in Hawaii or a weekend getaway to Fullerton. Any place outside of my room is fun.

Dayman/Charlie Day
One of the funniest songs I heard on television, close call to Iran. Anyone who can compose a song featuring being a "master of karate and friendship for everyone" is genius.

Tivo/Networks Stream/Formerly TV Links
Finally I don't have to count on my Tivo, which I still do love, but sometimes it freezes. Also I count on networks for Samantha Who? Friday Night Lights, 30 Rock, The Office to post my shows the next day. So convenient, now that only the networks would pay writers. And I miss you TV Links, I watched many series on that Office UK, Californication, LOTS of movies..) But thanks to new sites like Veoh, I watched Spaced. Check that out.

Dolce
The cutest weekend dog ever. He makes me smile. Precious baby.

Blogs
My daily/hourly fix of Perez Hilton, D-Listed, Just Jared, TV Squad, EW, etc. =) I love it all. Love the doodles of white dots, tv reviews, comical hate, "wonk eye" and sexy pictures. Oh without you where would I be? And to those who read this! I love all you.

Sexy Men
Sexy and thank you Heroes for chopping off Milo Ventimiglia's hair. And woo Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, he is coming up. Also thankful for Ryan Gosling, yummy and Wenworth, Justin Timberlake, holla. But these are the new hottness.

This semester
From Tuesday lunches with the regulars, walking around in circles, and actually learning and enjoying class. Honestly even the paper writing helped me discover and understand myself. Also I love how fast the semester is strolling along.

Slap Bet
Easily one of the best ongoing jokes is from How I Met Your Mother, Slapsgiving hahaha. Also the creation of "Slappetizers," "The time-slap continuum," "Slappetitive."

Away Messages
Keeps me busy and updated without going on Myspace or Facebook.

Free Movie Screenings
Thank you for free preview tickets I have had so far; Dan in Real Life, Lars & the Real Girl, Fred Clause. I hope the newspaper puts out more tickets.

Overrated/Underrated
HAHAHAHA. Best late night conversations.

This picture =/

H&M in Stonestown
I swear weekly spot so close to school, I spent too much and now have a closet full of new coats.

Television
Thanks for creating such fake ass drama (The Hills, I Love NY), innovative new series (Pushing Daisies), hella sex (Gossip Girls, Nip/Tuck), return of one of my favorite reality series (Project Runway), a good season of Real World, and the comic styles of 30 Rock, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Also the return of Lost in February! Santa Turkey please, end the writers strike.

Family
They keep me from too going wild. But really the past year has been one of the toughest years on all of us. I am truly grateful for them.
<3

And everything else I forgot. I guess I could thank my forgetfulness. Sometimes it is a good thing. Wink.

Make It Work.

Hello one of my favorite reality show ever was back tonight. Yes yes Project Runway season 4! It has been too long since I have seen sweet Tim Gunn and the real Michael Kors. I will be posting my favorite looks each week. Well I will try haha. The first episode had some crazy outfits (material vomit? yikes) but so far the only real personality is Christian Siriano. A better version of Chris Crocker hahaha. Rest of the season looks good.

Best look of the week:

Chic.

Getdown with NSYNC.

Oh wow it is 1 in the morning and I have been on Youtube just watching NSYNC related videos. Fandom baby! Oh I miss those middle school days.

This one I remember seeing on cable. That thing you do anyone!?

And here is the best VMA performance ever.

WOW Holy crap footage from the CELEBRITY TOUR! OMG. Weird I was just listening to The Temptations. That tour was so underrated.

Its beginning to look.

I can't for Christmas!

Optical Illusions.

Here's new video from The Whitest Boy Alive. In "Golden Cage" yes it is all about illusions. I remember on our old old computer we had some of that stuff saved. Like when you are looking at the swirl and look at your hand and its all freaky. Enjoy. My eyes hurt now.

Hello. Feel like writing to yourself and getting it say 6 months from now? Well visit Future Me. Right now I'm writing one. =)

Halloween.

Hello trick or treaters. Today is Halloween. So far I have just rebooted my system and now I am tired. I'm reinstalling my Aim, Itunes, all that stuff. Someone send me WORD? Also I was listening to plenty of Halloween songs. Hahaha. It does always feel like somebody is watching me. I doubt anyone will ring my door bell. Kids these days are too lazy to stroll around our hill. Whatever more candy for me. Oh thanks to Dell guy in honor of you I am watching Bride & Prejudice. Mmm those cupcakes look good, made those 2 years ago.

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

The system is down.

So my computer is dead. I was watching America's Next Top Model and kabloom! a blue physical memory dump appeared and shut down my computer. When I tried to turn it back on, well just got a message saying "no boot sector on internal hardware" and "no bootable device" that is bad. I called my dad and spoke to his coworker saying what I already knew that damn this is bad. He said you probably have to ship your laptop and might lose everything. It sucks cause I had a feeling to save all my recently added songs on my external. So maybe I lost 30-40 songs. But thank god I backed all my important documents either on my usb and external. Talked to my sister, her friend went through the same thing but was able to recover everything. Hope is still alive. So I guess with Dell you can talk to an agent over the internet. So I talked to Madhur haha. During the whole conversation he was robotic and a bit of a dick. Here's some transcript from Agent Madhur ahhhh Mohinder?

Well, what I will do here is assign a call back say within the next 1 hour so that once of the technicians from here will give you a call and help you reinstall the Operating system.
Also, once that is done, you may loose all the data which has been stored on the computer.
1:44:20 PM Customer
what are the chances i can have some recovery ?
1:45:20 PM Agent Madhur
Well, you will loose all the files that have been stored on the C drive on the computer.

ASS! HOLE. I do not believe you.

1:45:49 PM Customer
ooh i had a friend who sent her laptop to dell and got full recovery should i just do that?
1:46:15 PM Agent Madhur
Let us go ahead and do these...Please go ahead and shut down that laptop you are facing an issue with.
1:46:33 PM Customer
it is shut down

JERK.

Hence once the Operating system has been reinstalled and you still face the same issue,we will send a service technician if there is any hardware that has to be replaced.
1:56:16 PM Agent Madhur
Hence could you please let me know if you have tapped F12 on the keyboard until you have reached Advanced boot menu option screen?
1:57:18 PM Customer
i hit f12 didnt work.

In your face robotic man.

2:02:56 PM Agent Madhur
Okay...Now could you please let me know if you have the Operating system with you which was shipped from Dell?
2:03:18 PM Customer
is that the cd?
2:03:51 PM Agent Madhur
Yes that is correct.
2:04:26 PM Customer
I'm going to have to look for it. when i do do i just install it?
2:05:27 PM Agent Madhur
Yes you just need to install it and that will resolve the issue here.
2:05:49 PM Customer
Okay. I will do that hence thanks and i'm out.

Foreal all his 'hences' made me want to stab someone.
So I think I will call Dell soon and hope I will get a box and ship it out and hopefully recover stuff. Damn reminds me of that Sex & the City episode, sad face computer. That's going to be a bitch to upload all my music again. So I will be less and less online at the wee hours. =(

Ring the alarm.

Hahaha I was watching this the other night and yes an unplanned alarm stopped Late Night with Conan O' Brian. Classic.

Mr. Gosling.

“I mean, God bless The Notebook,” Gosling says. “It introduced me to one of the great loves of my life. But people do Rachel and me a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that.”

Okay so I'm sad cause Ryan Gosling has confirmed that he and Rachel McAdams are officially over. Ah my heart. They were my favorite celeb couples damn The Notebook. The article is a good read especially about his "Move." Ah young talented hollywood love.

Day Man.

If you are not watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia you are not cool. Here's a combined clip of a little song Charlie created called Nightman and Dayman. I love his how he understood his lyrics from the pictures. Better song is Day Man, aaaaauuhh.

"DAY MAN
Day Man
Fighter of the Night Man
Champion of the Sun
Master of Karate
and friendship for everyone"

Free Night at the Movies.

So last week I was lucky enough to catch a free early screening of Dan in Real Life with Gianel and Selene. I love how we were getting free tickets for something else and we ended up with this. So I went into this movie not knowing too much because of the lack of press at the time. It stars Steve Carell as an advice columnist raising his three girls and meets a woman in a bookstore during a family weekend at his parents house. They get to know each other but then Dan finds out she is dating his brother. It is a pretty cute movie and funnier than I expected. Steve Carell is hilarious and his dance moves alone is a reason to watch this.

Last night got to watch Lars and the Real Girl with Gianel and Jovianne. If you don't already know, probably you don't, the movie is about a lonely Lars, played by the brilliant Ryan Gosling, who purchases as life size doll and treats her as though she is alive. It is an emotional journey for Lars and for his community, who accept and treat the doll as a real person too. Ryan Gosling is so lovable and really a must watch. He really knows how to choose interesting and diverse roles; he's so hot right now. The movie is like nothing I have ever seen and I had plenty of laughs and aww moments. And fuck a lady who ssshes me for eating popcorn.

Hey Jude, don't make it bad

Hello I was so fortunate to watch Across the Universe last Friday with Gianel and Selene. I love musicals, especially ones that are vibrant (Moulin Rouge) as opposed to gloomy (Rent). Who cannot love when the story is set to Beatles music? The film is set into the 60's, when Jude moves to the states and meets Max and later his sister Lucy.

The music is fantastic especially the voice of the lead, Jim Sturgess, who plays Jude. He is hot and a singer, kept me swooning. He so reminds me of Ewan McGreggor. After the movie I just had all their versions of "Something" "Hey Jude" "Strawberry Fields Forever" in my head. I tried to get the soundtrack but it was sold out at Best Buy. So right now I'm keeping my fix through imeem and youtube. Really I recommend this for anyone who loves musicals, The Beatles and in between. Under all the rebellion revolutionary subplots, it is a love story that reassures that love is all you need.

SNL Premiere.

A High School Musical parody. Count me in. Hairrrry beav.

They call you weasel, say your methods are medieval, you can blame the Jews, I'll be your Jim Caviezel.

I-rannn I-rann so far away. So catchy. I was so taken by surprised when Adam Levine popped up in a digital short that has to do with Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Piano sounds familiar doesn't it? Nujabes? OOooh and Jakey cameo! Andy Samberg keeps rolling out them hits. You got me straight trippin too.

HAHAH omg Will Forte as Drake Bell. Giving Kanye West credit for mocking himself. Taking that blue ribbon lmao.

The Wes Andersen short, Hotel Chevalier, which is the prequel to The Darjeeling Limited is posted free on iTunes. It starts Natalie Portman and Jason Schwartzman. I am so tired right now I didn't even watch it yet. But download it before the limited time offer is over. I heard she gets a bit naked. Don't quote me on this.

Dunder Mifflin pens.

Someone bring me to Target's dollar corner. Plenty of The Office related goodies are on sale according to the Office Tally . Let me know, I'd love me some Dwight pens.

Hug it out.

Hahaha Ricky Gervais couldn't make the Emmys, so Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert gave Best Actor in a Comedy to Daily Show alum Steve Carell. That had to be the funniest part during the three hour telecast.

Congrats to 30 Rock for their Best Comedy win! Woo Tina Fey! Her American Express commercial, priceless. "These are my divorce papers." Hahahha. Anyway the win reminds me when Arrested Development won even with its dismal ratings. Hopefully the win will attract more viewers to watch. Can't wait for the new season.

Postponed.

Justin Timberlake must have partied too hard because he canceled his concert in Sacramento tonight without any reason. He needs to learn how to hold his liquor. Not only that, he postponed Wednesday's San Jose concert where I am suppose to be attending. New date is Sunday September 23rd. Whoo! Whole day devotion. I guess it stings a little but I don't mind cause I had a paper due this week. Anyway I still get to see his concert just got to wait a bit longer.

UPDATE from the offical website:
" San Jose & Sacramento Dates to Be Rescheduled
Tour promoter, AEG Live, has rescheduled Justin Timberlake's concerts in Sacramento and San Jose. The shows were rescheduled following a doctor mandated several day vocal rest prescribed to the artist to repair vocal strain inflicted during his MTV VMA performance and months of rigorous touring. The FutureSex/LoveShows will go on. The Sacramento concert, originally scheduled for Monday, September 10th, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 25th and the San Jose concert, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 12th, has been moved to Sunday, September 23rd. Fans should retain their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled concerts. "

Cute nano.

New release of Apple iPods out. I was just thinking what if my iPod broke right now, and hoping new versions would be out before I'd buy another. Well, it hasn't broke down on me yet, but the speaker on the left ear is fucked up. Anyway, the new Nano is cute, especially the color. Check the ad for a familiar tune. The iPod touch has a sexy name, but is it really necessary? Maybe for those not on the AT&T plan but I would spit out the extra cash for the phone and camera. And iPod classic holds up to 40,000 songs. That's a bit extreme, right now I'm stackin 3000+ and I think that is excessive.

HBO: FutureSex/LoveShow.

Nothing to do this Labor Day weekend? Well if you are a HBO subscriber, you are in luck. But those with basic cable, find someone immediately, order HBO, or even knock on a neighbor's door. FutureSex/ LoveShow is being presented from Madison Square Garden. I am very thankful I got to watch the show a couple times and again in 2 weeks! Since it's being aired everywhere, I hope he performs some special songs (Dick in a Box?), more from Justified (Never Again?!?) or even more NSYNC favorites (Selfish?). So watch it, especially What Goes Around... Comes Around and slow songs medleys. =)

Schedule of future airings.

1234

Feist performs 1234 on Letterman last night with plenty of special guests.

Welcome back?

It's only the real first day and I'm about over it. On Monday, I tried to add a class I'm already enrolled in for Friday, with I'm guessing little success. The teacher didn't take roll and about 20 people put their name on the waiting list. Ah. And how's he going to teach popular culture if he's from Canada and admitted he doesn't know much about US culture. So disappointing. And freakly similar looking to Henry Gale. I was going to drop that one maybe since he's new it will be easy. Today had a 8am lecture and walked in late, my bad. Same teacher from last year so that's cool. Then explored around with Gianel. Went to Rec class and I believe I will be dropping it. Sorry Camille. Teacher was cool and all but I am not down for a 10 page paper and oral report for a class I don't even need. But as my first day seemed to suck, things turned around with a free notebook,G bagel and my funny company. Ended with production class, very exciting. No sarcasm.

Sunday, August 26, 2007

So long sweet summer.

It has been the longest summer ever. And tomorrow it is all over. I went to summer school, and vacationed and been a lazy bum. Had bunch of parties, shopping adventures, jogging?, and oh my 20th birthday. Now it is back to buses, books, and bitches. Okay maybe not bitches. My schedule is still in a funk so anyone at state just text me where you are. Lunch breaks please. Good luck to everyone and to me rearranging classes. Counting the days til labor day weekend & Justin Timberlake concert!

Too much.

NBC really likes to market Heroes. It's getting so hyped, I really hope this season is better than two. Milo got short hair there! Fine.

New Heroes.

Premieres September 24th! What more can I say? This better not suck. Are they working Milo's hair cut? Please no scars.

Harold & Kumar 2

Here's the teaser trailer for the sequel to Harold & Kumar. Hahahaha "Terrorist!" Dang got to wait for 2008. Yay Neil Patrick Harris. It has to be legend -wait for it- dary!

Thursday, August 16, 2007

We'll play jacks and Uno cards.

Milo Ventimiglia (source)
Can't wait for new season of Heroes. =)

Lars and the Real Girl.

This looks really good, this touched my heart. Ryan Gosling plays a delusional lonely guy who thinks that a life like doll he ordered from the Internet is his living girlfriend. Sounds kooky or just really innovative? I think I will watch this one. Ryan can really act as any persona, what a great actor he has become.

It's Always Sunny.

Myspace posted a new episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (season 3) for a week, a whole month before the premiere. OMG i just finished, so hilarious. If you aren't familiar with the show, it revolves around friends who are often very uninformed vain but lovable dopes; previously they have competed with each other regarding women, prom dates, kids basketball games, running for office, or banging each other's moms. The gang's antics are so ridiculous that it is comic genius. Enjoy some sun.

Be Kind Rewind.

From the director who brought you Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Science of Sleep comes this comedy where a man magnetically erasing all the VHS in his video store. I guess there are still local video stores out there, go figure. From the trailer, the store owners instead of buying more tapes, decide to re-film and star some classic films. The recreation movie shots of Ghostbusters, Rush Hour, Robocop and especially The Lion King got me.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Superbad spoiler joke.

Picking classes.

I swear trying to plan what to take before registration time is stupid because all the classes I need are already full. Sucks cause during early priority time I couldn't get classes cause I wasn't declared and now that I am I am stuck with a lot of news and economic classes. Gag me. And there are only a couple spots left for video lab gahhh. Please no more people add classes tonight because my reg time tomorrow sounds really early. Make sure I'm online by 8 tomorrow morning.

Lucky's.

Tell me why I got a Lucky's ad in the mailbox? First suspicions was when I found a Lucky's receipt on my bathroom counter but I thought maybe its old, it is possible for my mom to keep a receipt from 5 years ago. But no. Since when did Albertson's change their name to Lucky's again? Don't get me wrong, I loved when the grocery story was simply called Lucky's but how can they just flip flop back like that? That's like telling your child "hey son you remember your Uncle Billy who died from a freak fishing accident, well I lied he's alive he just moved now he's moving back." Ah. I like to ramble, to Lucky's! May you continue to have sales on Crystal Geyser packs.

Poor snail.

Sorry I stepped on you. I was running out of the house to give my Tita her cell phone. It was dark and I was moving so fast I didn't bother to look down. And there was a fluffy cat staring at me. Really it freaked me out, she was just staring at me, making me feel more guilty. It ran down to my drive way but the staring was more piercing. I don't even want to look at my sock. Going back into the house with one sock was cold. Maybe if you moved faster. Sorry again.

Simpsonized.

In wake of the release of "The Simpsons Movie" I have Simpsonized myself after trying with plenty of pictures. Doesn't even look like the original picture, for one I was wearing a SFSU sweater and my hair was tied back. But at least my eyes are on point.

The Darjeeling Limited.

"I love you too, but I'm gonna mace you in the face!" That line alone got me.

Supergood.

Last night I was ever so lucky to catch a free screening of "Superbad" at the Metreon. Too bad for everyone who missed out but now you just got to wait 3 weeks and I would love to watch with you again. I've been excited to watch this since I first saw the rated R trailer and would watch anything with Michael Cera. Seriously watch out for this one, one of the funniest films I have seen. The film follows the friendship between two socially geeky teens, whose mission is to deliver alcohol to a high school party in hopes to get laid. The film is full of penis jokes, and the best kind of vulgar.

Unlike the stupid teen movies, "Superbad" is believable in how teenagers look and the anxiety of leaving your friends for college. Along with Jonah Hill (love his drawings) and Cera, relatively unknown Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays Fa Fogell, and has movie stealing scenes with the cops and his "I have a boner" line is genius. Underneath the vag and jizz jokes, the movie is essentially a sweet story of two friends. Boop! Samezies! Okay I don't want to give away anything else but check it out and stay for the illustrations during the credits. 8=D

Snorkeling.

Of course I wanted to make the most of what Hawaii's beaches have to offer, so I put on some goggles and jumped in at McKenna Beach in Maui. Once I put the Costco bought snorkeling goggles I was semi-freaking out. First, I am not the greatest swimmer ever, practically self taught in high school, and second we were in the F-ing deep waters of the ocean, and finally no lifeguards! I regained my cool and practiced breathing. I grabbed a bogey board and along with my cousin and her boyfriend we swam further and further into the horizon. As I was finding my balance, I fell off the board and for a second I was thinking "fuck no I'm not going to drown," then I got up and kept paddling away. Eventually I got comfortable and stuck my head into the water and saw plenty of an-ne-me-ne-mo-nem-ees anemones and pretty fishes. The feeling of Under the Sea than Jaws was playing in my head. Love to do it again with trained professionals.

Welcome back.

I am home! More tan and happy! Hawaii was really great. I will blog here and there about random stories I presume. Now this week I think I will be busy trying to help plan and set up my brother's engagement party! And good news is that I passed my 2 summer classes. This week I get to finally declare my major to radio and tv and then register for classes. Woah, so major!

Destination: Hawaii.

I cannot believe it. Summer school is over! Jump for joy! Finshed my paper, final and lucky me my other professor didn't create the quiz so I am exempt. Now it is time to pack for Hawaii! I'm headed to the islands of Maui and Oahu and attending my cousin's wedding! I will be gone I believe until Wednesday. Miss you all!

"Cloverfield" HD trailer is up. And I guess those supposed sites don't relate to the movie, but this site shows found some freaky screen shots toward a hidden site. Reminds me of the Lost Experience. Can't wait!

Also speaking of good dates, today (7-11) is GIANEL's BIRTHDAY! Don't let the test stress you out, live it up, it's your day!

Hey now you're an All-Star.

All-Star week has arrived in San Francisco and I have participated as much I could during this very busy weekend. Along with my sister, I attended a couple of volunteer meetings to help out at DHL's Fan Fest. On Tuesday night, I sat through an volunteer orientation where I got this cool All Star fanny pack (they are back in ladies and gentlemen) and two free tickets to Fan Fest, and my unlimited pass into the fan fest. Even though I was originally suppose to work Saturday night, I went to volunteer for some private Safeway sponsored party Thursday night.

At 6pm, we entered Moscone Center and got my 2 free Giants game tickets for August (holla), and uniform consisted of a cap, bright yellow mock and big name tag pin. I was too tiny for a polo so we tried to make the mock look as stylish as we could, it ended up as a long shirt dress hahaha. We walked to the empty convention center and were all assigned different zones. The 'managers' put me and my sister at the busiest attraction for 3-7 years old. Great fun with the children right? Well, at our station we had around 9 mini cars, with sports teams labeled, where kids raced against each other by peddling down the track. At first we had very few kids stopping by but as two or three came all of them came at once. At one point all the cars were in use and they were all crashing into walls.

We had to help out carrying and facing the mini-cars in the right direction. Yeah I tried to peddle I got as far as a foot away. Some kids were so cute, being so shy or sticking out their tongues. Just too adorable for words. And some poor kids exerting so much force you can see it on their little chubby faces. Double cute! And to top it off 2 steering wheels broke off of the Giants car. Even though by the end of the night my legs were about to break, making those kids happy was worth it. Our shift ended at 11pm and got some free pennants and cold Pepsi outside. I'm going to enjoy exploring the place as fast as I can tomorrow with my little to no free time. I hear Taco Bell is giving free tacos woo!

Summer TV List.

Summer is full of reruns or heinously bad reality television, so here's my take on what to watch this summer.

- Flight of the Conchords: From the New Zealand band comes the comedy-musical show that follows the duo trying to find success in New York City. If you are not a fan of random burst of songs then the show might not be for you. Still lyrics like, "You're so beautiful ... Like a high-class prostitute ... You could be a part-time model," crack me up, I had to rewind the Tivo. (Sundays at 10:30pm, HBO)

- So You Think You Can Dance: Who doesn't enjoy watching people dancing as birds and calling it lyrical? Cat Deeley needs a stylist asap! At least Wade Robson has a job now, hello Britney.
(Wednesdays at 8pm, Thursdays at 9pm)

- Entourage: Johnny Drama is hilarious, Vinny Chase is dreamy.
(Sundays at 10pm)

- Kyle KY XY: Many of the mystery has been solved about his no belly button and how he was created (ok test tube baby). But now the show is evolving with a crazy-eyed female version, while Kyle is adapting to a 'normal' lifestyle. Show would be so much better if they replace the Droopy dog looking love interest.
(Mondays at 8pm)

- Rob & Big: Hilarious best friends who got each others back with the lovable Meaty and Mini Horse. This is one of the only shows I can stand on MTV. Do work son! And some Bobby Light.
(Tuesdays at 10:30pm)

- Big Brother 8: Guilty pleasure with a great new twist of bringing housemates who have unfinished business with another: Father-daughter, old best friends, ex-couple where one supposedly gave another gonorrhea, so dirty! And the addition of America's player who has to do whatever the audience votes for. Looks like a interesting season.
(Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays at 8pm)

- Clark & Michael webisodes: Love Michael Cera with all his geeky awkwardness.
(Updated every Wednesday)

- Stickam live cams: Oh you guys.
(Anytime people want watching)

JJ.

Even though I haven't been able to catch Transformers just yet I heard a lot of great things about a very secretive teaser trailer playing before the feature. The untitled project by J.J. Abrams, creator of Lost, looks sooo good. It is shot in hand held cameras, very Blair Witchy don't you think? I am always down for a disaster film and if it is anything as intriguing as Lost I will be so happy. Wouldn't that be grand if it was smokey the monster? Or the 'monster' has a Dharma logo? Okay sounds far fetched. Anyway Many the trailer for the movie has been taken offline but here's one shot with a camera phone. Gave me the chills. Can't wait for 1-18-08. And who is Ethan Haas? Was he right?

Bombs over.

It is currently 12:44am and the fireworks/cherry bombs continue to go off. It was cute earlier but now I want to sleep and not be disrupted because I got class at 9 tomorrow. I spent the day at my cousin's house after doing a 5 page paper in little over two hours, yay me. Got some Jamba, almost saw Gianel, ate chicken. Watched a bit of Ratatouille then played with sparklers and a bunch of random bomb cans. Talked to some kids next door, Alejandro and Priscilla who enjoyed our mini light show. And I ran with Lynne for some ice cream. Drove home and watched many illegal fireworks go off and retreated in my mom's room watching a very spectacular view of more fireworks. We still have a bazooka firework that you stick in the ground left, I hope we get to use it on an unexpected night.

Fourth.

Happy Fourth of July! I want to play with a sparkler.

And today was also the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest. Kobayashi didn't win, a guy from San Jose chowed down 66 hot dogs. Yummy! Costco hotdogs are the best though.

Under my umbrella.

Yes you and everyone who owns a radio are already sick of Rihanna's "Umbrella." I recommend you to listen to Scott Simons' version. And its available to download woooo! He doesn't even change the lyrics but the song sounds completely different, very dreamy and mellow.

Lover's Spit.

Wow, somehow someone was able to sneak their camera into the Fillmore and film a couple songs. Lucky bastard. Oh Lover's Spit, yes it sounds like they are talking about giving head but the hidden meaning to me is that either we know people who are so infatuated that they don't give a shit about anything else or that people should grow up rather than wasting time in a meaningless relationship. Whatever the reason is, the song is still beautiful. Night.

Isn't life already in 3-D?

I Feel It All.

Last night I attended Feist/Grizzly Bear concert at the Fillmore. Yes, first indie show. Pictured left was taken from Tuesday night. Cameras were not allowed, poor Jed. And in that picture would of been Tina, Jed, Jeremy and me chillin. Yes thanks to my cousin for waiting we were standing right in front center. Yes we cut him and like only 30 other people lol. Walked in the Fillmore (first time) and it so reminded me of the Dancing with the Stars ballroom. Very chic. I twirled a bit and secured a spot, in front of the speakers and mic. We had a free apples and my opened water (haha!) and set it on the stage, not forgetting the banana bread. Our own mini picnic. Chronicle has a good review here, but let me give you more commentary if you do care. That Verizon screen saying "Your text here" is a lie. Don't send them text, you won't see it. Hahaha.

The crowd was filled with who you would think would be at a indie show, plus a couple of Asians, yee! So the opening act was Grizzly Bear performing over an hour set. I saw them outside but I didn't know what they looked like. They came on and I only recognized a couple of their songs. Very mellow, relaxing music. And their use of instruments ranging from the flute, clarinet, guitar and other machines I never heard of was awesome. But the big sweat droplet almost hitting us from the singer would of be bad haha. The drummer was kind of cute. They ended and still was on stage just putting their plugs and doodads away. We stretched our legs and neck (ouch), the crew placed waters, set lists, mic checks then around 9:30 she came on stage.

This was the second show in two days and I don't know about the first show, but this one was really really great. As she said "this is our night." She performed many songs from "The Reminder" and a couple songs from "Let It Die." She placed a sequined armband around her mic, while the other had a purple unicorn dangling down. Who knew how funny she was? She forgot her lyrics to 'One Evening' and walked off stage and had the lyrics copied onto the bottom of a beer case and restarted. Also she shout outed this guy in a unicorn shirt who was right behind me. For awhile I thought she was looking at me. And she got the sold out crowd (I could not see the end) into it, singing and shouting out SF, Oakland and Sausalito?!

Feist has an incredible live voice, even with the dance hand motions and funny faces, at least it ain't ugly as John Mayer. You really can't find her kind of raspy, seductive voice anywhere on the radio. I think it was during 'The Park' where the whole band made bird noises, very Bambi woodsy ambiance. The crowd cheered during 'I Feel It All' during the "I want to win the war," I don't thing that song has to do with anything political but just the word war gets us riled up. Also some lady tapped danced and I was scared she was going kick someone hahaha.

She encored with 'Lover's Spit' loved it so much. That was the song that really got me into loving her voice. She jumped on the piano with her lyrics and was accompanied by her former band mate of Broken Social Scene on the keys. That got me right here. She continued with the boys of Grizzly Bear in background vocals to 'Sealion' and ended the show with 'Let It Die.' Brillantly beautiful as ever.

The Fillmore is so rockin' I need to check out another show there. Disco balls, Christmas lights, bar - nice. Some girls to the right swooped on the set list then walked slowed on the now sticky floor to the exit. Made my way through the white crowd and sat for 5 minutes to regain blood movement and retrieved Jed's camera. I did not know this, but the Fillmore always gives special limited posters at sold out shows, very cool. The show was so intimate and fun, which made me appreciate her even more. She has proven you don't need the big over the top numbers, wardrobe changes, pyrotechnics to hear a great singer. Check out Feist's music, you won't be disappointed.

Halfway home.

Alright, less than 2 weeks til school is over and HAWAII! Summer school hasn't been terribly hard minus the waking up at 8 Monday-Thursday. And the sleeping at 1 ain't helping me. Now all I got to worry about is that 10 page research paper and analysis paper/final for variations. I can't believe it's going by so fast. I've enjoyed the guest speakers from the sex industry and staying in class for 1 1/2 hours rather than 4. Also I noticed the new freshmen getting toured around, looking very baby. Oh and I saw the gatoraider who toured my group, he got bigger in the tummy/neck region. The chalkboards in the stalls at SFSU are hilarious, this one got me giggling, I'm mature. I'm pretty sure I heard that before, but I got a laugh. That just made me wonder who actually got up from the toilet pulled out a sharpie. Person must of been thinking on the toilet and somehow this joke was inspired from their poop.
"There once was a man from Nantucket
Whose cock was so long he could suck it
He said with a grin
as he wiped his chin
'If my ear was a cunt I could fuck it"

I get off on this.

Good Cop, Baby Cop

Pearl is sooo cute. If you don't know her you should, check out The Landlord short. Too bad this is her final performance as one of the most famous web celebrities today. Her dirty mouth is brilliant, I guess baby retirement is a good idea. You don't want her to end up retaining such profanity. In this short, Pearl interrogates Angel (Will Ferrell) and breaks him down how a two year old could, with words and a yellow phone book. I doubt that's the last we hear from Pearl, so I leave you with some of her best lines.

"You pay now, bitch!"
"I want my money!!"
"I just buzzed"
"I'm calling 911... wait I am a cop."
"I break bones and laugh"
"You're going down ese"
"I AM THE LAW!"

This is why I'm.

HOT.

Do I really need a reason to post pictures of Milo? Finally he cut those bangs off. Catch Gilmore Girls for your Jess Mariano fix. And he is really the reason why I don't hate "Big Girls Don't Cry."

Caw caw caw.

While I was struggling eating my dinner, (fuck wisdom teeth) I heard a loud repeated noise. At first I thought, "hmm it's just barks from the 'missing' dog from next door." Where is that mini horse sized dog that tackled me on that one unsuspected afternoon? Bitch. That's another story for another day. But no dear friends no not at all! Then I thought maybe a prehistoric creature or even a dragon from The NeverEnding Story! But disappointingly no. I dashed toward the window leaving my purple potatoes and black tea behind.

The noise became more intense. We come to the conclusion that a crow was stuck in our chimney. Maybe a crow is Death of the bird underworld and has come to poke my eyes out for mistreating Blue, Green and my other unnamed parakeets. Oh dear. I jumped outside with my dad in my 'world's softest socks' to find that fuckin crow, which is now annoying and I sense the mockery. Cawcawcawcawyouwon'tfindmehaahacawcawcaw. No luck from the front so we made our way to the backyard. And there lies, honestly the biggest crow I have ever seen chillin on our chim chiminey chim chiminey chim chim cher-oo! We made eye contact. Crowzy (crazy crow) immediately swooped down and flew away. Didn't even put up a fight.
