Poor snail.

Sorry I stepped on you. I was running out of the house to give my Tita her cell phone. It was dark and I was moving so fast I didn't bother to look down. And there was a fluffy cat staring at me. Really it freaked me out, she was just staring at me, making me feel more guilty. It ran down to my drive way but the staring was more piercing. I don't even want to look at my sock. Going back into the house with one sock was cold. Maybe if you moved faster. Sorry again.

Simpsonized.

In wake of the release of "The Simpsons Movie" I have Simpsonized myself after trying with plenty of pictures. Doesn't even look like the original picture, for one I was wearing a SFSU sweater and my hair was tied back. But at least my eyes are on point.

The Darjeeling Limited.

"I love you too, but I'm gonna mace you in the face!" That line alone got me.

Supergood.

Last night I was ever so lucky to catch a free screening of "Superbad" at the Metreon. Too bad for everyone who missed out but now you just got to wait 3 weeks and I would love to watch with you again. I've been excited to watch this since I first saw the rated R trailer and would watch anything with Michael Cera. Seriously watch out for this one, one of the funniest films I have seen. The film follows the friendship between two socially geeky teens, whose mission is to deliver alcohol to a high school party in hopes to get laid. The film is full of penis jokes, and the best kind of vulgar.

Unlike the stupid teen movies, "Superbad" is believable in how teenagers look and the anxiety of leaving your friends for college. Along with Jonah Hill (love his drawings) and Cera, relatively unknown Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays Fa Fogell, and has movie stealing scenes with the cops and his "I have a boner" line is genius. Underneath the vag and jizz jokes, the movie is essentially a sweet story of two friends. Boop! Samezies! Okay I don't want to give away anything else but check it out and stay for the illustrations during the credits. 8=D

Snorkeling.

Of course I wanted to make the most of what Hawaii's beaches have to offer, so I put on some goggles and jumped in at McKenna Beach in Maui. Once I put the Costco bought snorkeling goggles I was semi-freaking out. First, I am not the greatest swimmer ever, practically self taught in high school, and second we were in the F-ing deep waters of the ocean, and finally no lifeguards! I regained my cool and practiced breathing. I grabbed a bogey board and along with my cousin and her boyfriend we swam further and further into the horizon. As I was finding my balance, I fell off the board and for a second I was thinking "fuck no I'm not going to drown," then I got up and kept paddling away. Eventually I got comfortable and stuck my head into the water and saw plenty of an-ne-me-ne-mo-nem-ees anemones and pretty fishes. The feeling of Under the Sea than Jaws was playing in my head. Love to do it again with trained professionals.

Welcome back.

I am home! More tan and happy! Hawaii was really great. I will blog here and there about random stories I presume. Now this week I think I will be busy trying to help plan and set up my brother's engagement party! And good news is that I passed my 2 summer classes. This week I get to finally declare my major to radio and tv and then register for classes. Woah, so major!

Destination: Hawaii.

I cannot believe it. Summer school is over! Jump for joy! Finshed my paper, final and lucky me my other professor didn't create the quiz so I am exempt. Now it is time to pack for Hawaii! I'm headed to the islands of Maui and Oahu and attending my cousin's wedding! I will be gone I believe until Wednesday. Miss you all!

1-18-08

"Cloverfield" HD trailer is up. And I guess those supposed sites don't relate to the movie, but this site shows found some freaky screen shots toward a hidden site. Reminds me of the Lost Experience. Can't wait!

Also speaking of good dates, today (7-11) is GIANEL's BIRTHDAY! Don't let the test stress you out, live it up, it's your day!

Happy Birthday! =D

Cupcake me.

Who doesn't love some cupcakes? This year is definitely about the cupcakes. Check out Kara's cupcakes for some delicious creations for $3 each. I recommend the coconut cupcake. I know what your thinking "ew coconut" but damn that frosting is one of the best things ever. Also the store makes mini cupcakes for $2. In addition to baking the best, the store is chic and sophisticated painted in pink! Check out these locations:

Hey now you're an All-Star.

All-Star week has arrived in San Francisco and I have participated as much I could during this very busy weekend. Along with my sister, I attended a couple of volunteer meetings to help out at DHL's Fan Fest. On Tuesday night, I sat through an volunteer orientation where I got this cool All Star fanny pack (they are back in ladies and gentlemen) and two free tickets to Fan Fest, and my unlimited pass into the fan fest. Even though I was originally suppose to work Saturday night, I went to volunteer for some private Safeway sponsored party Thursday night.

At 6pm, we entered Moscone Center and got my 2 free Giants game tickets for August (holla), and uniform consisted of a cap, bright yellow mock and big name tag pin. I was too tiny for a polo so we tried to make the mock look as stylish as we could, it ended up as a long shirt dress hahaha. We walked to the empty convention center and were all assigned different zones. The 'managers' put me and my sister at the busiest attraction for 3-7 years old. Great fun with the children right? Well, at our station we had around 9 mini cars, with sports teams labeled, where kids raced against each other by peddling down the track. At first we had very few kids stopping by but as two or three came all of them came at once. At one point all the cars were in use and they were all crashing into walls.

We had to help out carrying and facing the mini-cars in the right direction. Yeah I tried to peddle I got as far as a foot away. Some kids were so cute, being so shy or sticking out their tongues. Just too adorable for words. And some poor kids exerting so much force you can see it on their little chubby faces. Double cute! And to top it off 2 steering wheels broke off of the Giants car. Even though by the end of the night my legs were about to break, making those kids happy was worth it. Our shift ended at 11pm and got some free pennants and cold Pepsi outside. I'm going to enjoy exploring the place as fast as I can tomorrow with my little to no free time. I hear Taco Bell is giving free tacos woo!

Summer TV List.

Summer is full of reruns or heinously bad reality television, so here's my take on what to watch this summer.

- Flight of the Conchords: From the New Zealand band comes the comedy-musical show that follows the duo trying to find success in New York City. If you are not a fan of random burst of songs then the show might not be for you. Still lyrics like, "You're so beautiful ... Like a high-class prostitute ... You could be a part-time model," crack me up, I had to rewind the Tivo. (Sundays at 10:30pm, HBO)

- So You Think You Can Dance: Who doesn't enjoy watching people dancing as birds and calling it lyrical? Cat Deeley needs a stylist asap! At least Wade Robson has a job now, hello Britney.
(Wednesdays at 8pm, Thursdays at 9pm)

- Entourage: Johnny Drama is hilarious, Vinny Chase is dreamy.
(Sundays at 10pm)

- Kyle KY XY: Many of the mystery has been solved about his no belly button and how he was created (ok test tube baby). But now the show is evolving with a crazy-eyed female version, while Kyle is adapting to a 'normal' lifestyle. Show would be so much better if they replace the Droopy dog looking love interest.
(Mondays at 8pm)

- Rob & Big: Hilarious best friends who got each others back with the lovable Meaty and Mini Horse. This is one of the only shows I can stand on MTV. Do work son! And some Bobby Light.
(Tuesdays at 10:30pm)

- Big Brother 8: Guilty pleasure with a great new twist of bringing housemates who have unfinished business with another: Father-daughter, old best friends, ex-couple where one supposedly gave another gonorrhea, so dirty! And the addition of America's player who has to do whatever the audience votes for. Looks like a interesting season.
(Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays at 8pm)

- Clark & Michael webisodes: Love Michael Cera with all his geeky awkwardness.
(Updated every Wednesday)

- Stickam live cams: Oh you guys.
(Anytime people want watching)

JJ.

Even though I haven't been able to catch Transformers just yet I heard a lot of great things about a very secretive teaser trailer playing before the feature. The untitled project by J.J. Abrams, creator of Lost, looks sooo good. It is shot in hand held cameras, very Blair Witchy don't you think? I am always down for a disaster film and if it is anything as intriguing as Lost I will be so happy. Wouldn't that be grand if it was smokey the monster? Or the 'monster' has a Dharma logo? Okay sounds far fetched. Anyway Many the trailer for the movie has been taken offline but here's one shot with a camera phone. Gave me the chills. Can't wait for 1-18-08. And who is Ethan Haas? Was he right?

Eavesdropping.

Week of 6/29-7/6

Bombs over.

It is currently 12:44am and the fireworks/cherry bombs continue to go off. It was cute earlier but now I want to sleep and not be disrupted because I got class at 9 tomorrow. I spent the day at my cousin's house after doing a 5 page paper in little over two hours, yay me. Got some Jamba, almost saw Gianel, ate chicken. Watched a bit of Ratatouille then played with sparklers and a bunch of random bomb cans. Talked to some kids next door, Alejandro and Priscilla who enjoyed our mini light show. And I ran with Lynne for some ice cream. Drove home and watched many illegal fireworks go off and retreated in my mom's room watching a very spectacular view of more fireworks. We still have a bazooka firework that you stick in the ground left, I hope we get to use it on an unexpected night.

Fourth.

Happy Fourth of July! I want to play with a sparkler.

And today was also the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest. Kobayashi didn't win, a guy from San Jose chowed down 66 hot dogs. Yummy! Costco hotdogs are the best though.

Under my umbrella.

Yes you and everyone who owns a radio are already sick of Rihanna's "Umbrella." I recommend you to listen to Scott Simons' version. And its available to download woooo! He doesn't even change the lyrics but the song sounds completely different, very dreamy and mellow.

Lover's Spit.

Wow, somehow someone was able to sneak their camera into the Fillmore and film a couple songs. Lucky bastard. Oh Lover's Spit, yes it sounds like they are talking about giving head but the hidden meaning to me is that either we know people who are so infatuated that they don't give a shit about anything else or that people should grow up rather than wasting time in a meaningless relationship. Whatever the reason is, the song is still beautiful. Night.

Nothing Last Forever.

Isn't life already in 3-D?

"In dreams, emotions are overwhelming"

"Tonight I'll show you how dreams are prepared, love, friendships, relationships. All those ships."
